ITINERARY

After breakfast, we’ll head to Los Glaciares National Park. We’ll explore the network of panoramic walkways that bring us just meters away from the glacier's towering, deep-blue ice walls.As you take in its immense scale, you'll experience the sounds of nature at their most powerful: the deep cracks of shifting ice and the thunderous roar of massive chunks breaking off and crashing into the turquoise waters below. A truly unforgettable encounter with Patagonia’s most iconic landscape.Included Meals: Breakfast.Lodging options: Hostel Base (Shared Room & Bathroom) or Private Base (Private Room & Bathroom).

Early in the morning, we’ll begin a scenic three-hour drive across the vast Patagonian steppe, enjoying views of Lake Argentino and the Viedma Glacier. As we approach, the iconic peaks of Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre will start to appear on the horizon.Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the historic Parador La Leona to stretch our legs, enjoy a coffee, and learn about the fascinating stories of the early explorers. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, you’ll check into the hotel and have the afternoon free to explore this charming mountain town at your own pace.Included Meals: Breakfast.Lodging options: Hostel Base (Shared Room & Bathroom) or Private Base (Private Room & Bathroom).

After breakfast, we’ll set off along the Fitz Roy Trail, gradually ascending through the Río de las Vueltas valley. We’ll hike through native forests and rivers, pausing at panoramic viewpoints that offer our first inspiring glimpses of the massive Fitz Roy mountain.After passing the Río Blanco base camp, we’ll face the final, steep one-hour ascent. The reward at the top is unmatched: the striking turquoise waters of Laguna de los Tres, sitting right at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy’s towering granite walls. We’ll enjoy our box lunch surrounded by this breathtaking scenery before heading back to town before sunset.Included Meals: Breakfast and box lunch.Lodging options: Hostel Base (Shared Room & Bathroom) or Private Base (Private Room & Bathroom).

After breakfast, we’ll begin a steady ascent through ancient forests and lush shrublands. This trail offers a unique perspective of the region, treating us to breathtaking views of the dramatic glacial valleys. Depending on the group’s pace and energy, we can explore the scenic lower terraces or push for the 1,500-meter summit.Reaching the top rewards us with unmatched views of the peaks rising from the vast Patagonian Ice Field and the famous Paso del Viento. We’ll enjoy our box lunch surrounded by these massive landscapes before descending and returning to El Chaltén by late afternoon.Included Meals: Breakfast and box lunch.Lodging options: Hostel Base (Shared Room & Bathroom) or Private Base (Private Room & Bathroom).

In the morning, our transfer will take us back to El Calafate, letting us enjoy the scenic Patagonian landscapes along the road one last time.Upon arrival and after checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is entirely yours.
