9-day tour Buenos Aires, El Calafate and Iguazu falls

Argentinian Natural Wonders - Iguazú Falls & Perito Moreno Glacier
9 DAYS - 8 NIGHTS

The city of Buenos Aires is usually the entrance and exit for the visits to Argentina from its international airport; this trip gives us the possibility of enjoying it. As the great city that it is, it has options for those who want to discover its museums, to cross it in bicycle, to live its sport spectacles and for those who want to deepen in the culture of the Tango, it offers the chance to participate in dance classes and milongas during the nights.

In the northeast of Argentina the Iguazú Falls form jumps like the devil’s Throat that have positioned the national park of Iguazú like of the most visited of Argentina.

Without a doubt the Patagonia is one of the Argentine regions with more beauties and secrets to discover. Great extensions of yet to be populated lands, ice fields impossible to go thru, histories of explorers yet to be written, makes of Patagonia a land of fascination and legend.

This trip includes the natural wonders of Argentina and a visit to the most vibrant city in South America.

Today you will enjoy a fantastic introduction to Buenos Aires, a city known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and distinctive neighborhoods.

This experience allows you to gain a comprehensive overview of the city’s most iconic areas while also having the opportunity to get off the vehicle and explore some locations on foot, gaining a deeper understanding of the history and character of Buenos Aires.

The tour includes visits to several of the city’s most emblematic sites. In the historic center, you will explore Plaza de Mayo, the political and historical heart of Argentina, surrounded by landmarks such as the Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Cabildo. You will also visit the colorful neighborhood of La Boca, famous for its brightly painted houses and the lively street of Caminito, a symbol of the city’s immigrant heritage and artistic spirit. Along the way, you will also drive through other important districts, discovering the diversity of architecture, culture, and daily life that make Buenos Aires such a fascinating destination.

Entering the venue feels like stepping back in time. The building was once a traditional tenement house, and its carefully preserved interior recreates the atmosphere of early 20th-century Buenos Aires. The performance features not only classic tango, but also Argentine folklore, making it one of the most complete and authentic cultural experiences the city has to offer.

Upon arrival at the park, we will explore its main circuits, each offering a different perspective of the falls and the surrounding subtropical rainforest.

First, we visit the spectacular Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo). To reach this iconic viewpoint, we take the ecological train through the jungle and then walk along elevated walkways that cross the Iguazú River. As we approach the edge, the sound of the rushing water grows stronger until we arrive at the breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the immense cascade. The sheer power and beauty of the Devil’s Throat create an unforgettable combination of sound, mist, and dramatic scenery.

Next, we continue with the Upper Circuit, a series of walkways that provide magnificent panoramic views from above several of the waterfalls. From these viewpoints, you can admire the many cascades and small islands that form the Iguazú River delta before the water plunges into the gorge below.

We then explore the Lower Circuit, where strategically designed paths and bridges allow us to get closer to the base of the waterfalls. This trail offers a more intimate encounter with nature, with different viewpoints of the falls from below and the opportunity to feel the refreshing spray of the water while surrounded by lush vegetation.

Once inside the park, we arrive at the walkways facing the Perito Moreno Glacier, where you will have time to explore the network of panoramic viewing platforms and trails. These walkways offer different perspectives of the glacier and allow you to admire its immense ice wall from several angles while listening to the sounds of the ice cracking and occasionally witnessing spectacular ice calvings into the lake.

After enjoying time at the viewpoints, we continue to the nearby “Bajo de las Sombras” port, located about 7 km from the walkways, where we board a boat for a 40-minute navigation along the glacier’s southern wall.
